We're Heading to Cochon555 Boston April 9th 2017! 

Our Levi had the honor of heading to Boston to be featured in Cochon555 Boston!  This is an awesome event we've been a part of in New York now for 2 years.  We're thrilled Dogpatch Farm is able to participate in Cochon555 Boston as well.

The event is being held at 4pm 4/9/17 at the SoWa Power Station, 540 Harrison Ave. Boston, MA.  We've been paired with chef Matt Jennings of Townsman restaurant.  Here's a bit more about the event from their press release. 

"Heritage BBQ is a culinary competition featuring notable chefs cooking over live fires with global flavors and timeless cooking techniques. Each chef is given a 180 to 200-pound heritage breed pig and tasked to create six dishes for a crowd of pork-loving enthusiasts. Chefs must then present a “Judge’s Plate” scored on utilization; global influences; cooking techniques; and overall flavor. The winning team will be crowned the “BBQ King or Queen” of Boston. In addition to sampling 1,500 pounds of competitor’s dishes, all tickets includes “BBQ Traditions” - our fringe festival of flavor - where notable chefs prepare one dish from their favorite grilling culture in the spirit of collective feasting. There’s also plenty of curated spirit, wine, and beer experiences,a ramen noodle pop-up, a luxury butter bar, and much more."

Hoosier Stars in His Own Blog Post Series!

One of the restaurants in Massachusetts that we deliver to regularly, Evoo, has just posted a series on how they process a pig - and they and they used Hoosier!  We hope you'll take a moment to check it out as these folks are the real deal.  They source local products, and they use the whole pig - all of it.  

We hope you'll check out their Cambridge restaurant too, because they make amazing food with our happy pigs you'll definitely want to try!  

Dogpatch Farm is Awarded a USDA Value Added Producer Grant!

We're so excited to share with you that Dogpatch Farm has been awarded a Value Added Producer Grant (VAPG) from the USDA!  This grant will help offset some of the farm's costs of branding and marketing our Mulefoot pork.  It is an honor to be selected for one of these grants as only 9 farms in Maine were chosen!
